I'm reading about the Floyd/Chauvin trial, and the only thing that really comes to the fore of my mind is: that this is what happens when The State goes stark raving insane. Yes, investigate, and if the man was in error or grievious in misconduct then by all means. But right out of the gate, this case (it's only the first day of trial at this point) is a farce. It's as if the prosecutor dredged together all the various bits and pieces of bullshit floating around out there and concocted a toxic stew from them. It is prosecution by nitwits. I would laugh if it was not so demonstrably awful.
